Technical Sales Engineer / Productengineer

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility is to provide technical and commercial guidance to the sales process to attain pump product line goals and facilitate the exchange of market intelligence among teams. Additionally, the role involves supporting the bidding team in crafting appropriate proposals for complex inquiries and actively participating in tool development initiatives, product launches, and other tasks related to excellence centers.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Guide and educate the team in utilizing available tools effectively.

  • Foster the sharing of market intelligence among different teams and business functions.

  • Assist in price and contract negotiations aligned with the pump pricing strategy.

  • Aid the Market in preparing investment cases, including SR1 and SR2.

  • Develop pricing sheets and establish cost-plus structures and guidelines.

  • Prepare customer frame agreements and proposals for standardization exceeding Market capabilities.

  • Translate intricate customer inquiries into technical proposals to support the bidding team.

  • Conduct pump calculations and process analyses.

  • Coordinate and prepare technical proposal documents such as P&IDs, instrument datasheets, preliminary GAs, and reference lists.

  • Support the creation and promotion of sales enablement tools' proper use.

  • Manage open quotations proactively and coordinate bids for multi-site projects.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Market, product line, and bidding team for filtration inquiries.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing the inquiry-to-cash process.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree with significant work experience or a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a technical commercial role in an international setting.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Powergen, Water Treatment or Process Industries is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with technical products for industrial applications is essential.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • A passion for achieving objectives under challenging circumstances.
